How often do you blog?

I post on my blog every single day – at 6pm during the week, and 1pm on a weekend. It’s hard work, but I love it!

How long have you been blogging?

I’ve only been blogging for just over a month now, but I’m so proud of how far my blog has come in that time, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

What programme do you use to blog ie wordpress etc?

I use WordPress to blog. I have used Blogger in the past, but I didn’t find it as easy to use!

What inspired you to start a blog?

I’ve always loved to write, and so blogging is a great way for me to express myself. I’ve been finding it particularly therapeutic over the past few weeks, as I’ve been having a bit of a hard time with Uni. So, blogging enables me to relieve some stress, and meet some amazing people along the way!

How do you motivate yourself to blog?

I don’t usually need to motivate myself to blog, as I don’t really see it as a chore. However, if I have a lot on I just make sure that I put some time aside each day for my blog, and almost treat it as a job (but one that I love!)

What is your favourite thing about blogging?

Engaging with other people, sharing my own advice, and seeing how others respond to it. I think being able to have discussions and conversation with your viewers is incredibly important.

Are there any downsides to it?

As there are so many bloggers today, it can feel as though you’re never going to be as good as the next person, but you’ve just got to remind yourself that you’re doing this for your own well being, and it shouldn’t be something that gets you down.

For all us newbies to the blogging word, what is your advice to them?

I would suggest starting off small, and seeing where it takes you. I did the opposite to this – I started blogging every day, and now I feel as though I have an obligation to keep to my tight schedule. So, I would suggest posting once or twice a week for a couple of months, see if you’re still enjoying it and then decide whether it’s worth putting all of your time and effort into.

And just for fun, name one social media platform you could not live without?

Twitter! I’ve been on Twitter for years, and I just love it. About 5 years ago, I actually met my best friend on Twitter, so I definitely couldn’t live without it!
