Just when we thought that Shakespeare could not get any more exciting. Ballet Cymru are performing a version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
With classical choreography and a hint of magic the company challenges its dancers to interpret some of the finest characters in literature.
We can expect the infamous characters of Titania, the Queen of the Fairies, and Puck, the mischievous messenger, inhabit the supernatural fairy kingdom.
And, the lovers, caught in a thrilling web of mistaken identity and confusion finally find their way through the Athenian forest to an unforgettable and joyous reconciliation.
Mendelssohn’s joyous music is interpreted by Artistic Director Darius James and highlights radiant costumes, sets and video projection.
A Midsummer Nights Dream will be on at Queens Hall, Hexham on Friday 6th October, 7.30pm.
