Re-branding my blog

“Blogging” by Jonathan Rolande is licensed under CC BY 2.0

As I read my fellow bloggers posts and check out their websites, I find myself comparing theirs to mine. And I think I really need to be taking my blogging seriously now.

Social Profile

I have my own personal social media pages/profile, however I have been thinking about creating a social media profile specifically for my blog.  But I don’t have such a strong following yet-  so is it  even worth my while?  Or will having the likes of Twitter etc be useful for my blog and help me get more followers? I often worry that when I post my blog on my personal pages I am pestering my friends and family, so if I have a professional one- it will cut that out.

Getting to the nitty gritty

Now I know that many bloggers are on a paid plan for their blogs and that they own their own domain, now I have little knowledge about this. In fact I don’t really know anything about it, all I know is that I am on a free plan and I have very little input when it comes to my blog and how it looks etc As I look at other websites and blogs I only wish mine were the same. So perhaps I should look into different plans on WordPress and see what I can do to make my blog a bit more presentable and appealing to you lovely readers.

In a bit of a mix up

So my blog is a mix up of my journalism journey and North East Culture. It is like this because this is apart of my life, I have a passion  for North East Culture yet I am a journalism graduate and like to document my experiences and my steps towards getting a job in the industry.

I have been thinking about these things for a while and I really do want to take this blogging malarchy seriously.

It would be great to hear from you guys as the readers or if you are a blogger, let me know if you have any advice for me.
