Taking my blog seriously

I have been blogging for 3 years and 5 months now and I really enjoy doing it, it has become a creative outlet for me.

There was a time where I had thought about pursuing it as a career but only thought I was a pipeline dream and if I am honest I think it still is but I would seriously now think about it becoming my full-time job.

I have been doing several marketing courses at home and it has really got me thinking about how these skills I am learning. How I could apply these skills to my blog, things like Google Analytics and Google Ads etc how I could use these for my blog as well as a client and in the marketing industry.

If I am honest, I don’t really have goals for my blog at the moment, I have plenty of feature ideas but no big plans for my blog. I am happy writing and as long as people keep reading and letting me know they are enjoying my content then I am happy with that.

I do look at my stats but I don’t get to take too much on board like I say as long as people are reading that is all that matters. However, if this was my full-time job then I would need to take more notice of it. But then would it ruin my passion for writing, would it become a chore rather than a passion? I would hope it would be a career that I enjoy.

I see other bloggers and their blogs are full time and it is their careers and they are ace at what they do, they are my inspiration-  I look up to them.

There is so much uncertainty in the world with jobs that I need to start adapting and thinking about what I could do in the future.  Perhaps blogging full time could be one?
