Langley Castle to host The Great North Abseil

The Great North Abeseil have teamed up with the stunning Langley Castle in Northumberland to raise money for charity.

Working in partnership with Langley Castle, the Wild About Adventure event will be over the weekend.

People who have signed up will be doing a 90ft abseil from the roof of the castle all to raise money for charity. Covid safety measures are in place.

The event is in place of the Great North Run and its 40th Year Anniversary. Because of the current global Covid pandemic, the race like so many other events have this year been cancelled and because of that, so many amazing charities are going to miss out on must needed sponsorship.

Therefore naming the event  ‘The Great North Abseil’

The idea is, just like the Great North Run, to get sponsored to abseil down the side of this stunning castle and help all those fabulous charities out there.

There will be time slots throughout the day so all you need to do is book what time you would prefer and then we would send you all the info you need including sponsor forms etc.

The cost of the abseil is £35pp and includes all safety equipment, professional instructors, memories to last a lifetime and the opportunity to access an area of the castle that not many get to see!

Bookings are to be made through Wild About Adventure and can be done by any of the following:
